Saudi Crown Prince and Putin Reaffirm Energy Cooperation in High-Level Call on Global Stability

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman held a telephone conversation on Tuesday with Russian President Vladimir Putin, during which the two leaders reviewed bilateral relations and discussed cooperation aimed at maintaining stability in global energy markets.
According to the Saudi Press Agency, the call focused on the state of relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Russian Federation, as well as existing areas of cooperation and ways to further support and develop them.
The two leaders also exchanged views on regional and international developments, addressing a range of issues of mutual interest. SPA said the Crown Prince reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s continued support for diplomatic dialogue as the preferred means of resolving international disputes.
In a separate statement, the Kremlin said both sides agreed to deepen cooperation across political, economic, trade, and humanitarian fields. The discussion also covered progress in joint coordination within the OPEC+ framework, highlighting ongoing efforts to ensure stability and balance in global energy markets.

Energy coordination between Saudi Arabia and Russia has remained a cornerstone of international oil market management in recent years, with both countries playing leading roles in aligning production policies to support market stability amid global economic uncertainty.
Earlier on Tuesday, the Kremlin said President Putin briefed the Crown Prince on Moscow’s recent diplomatic contacts with former US President Donald Trump, as part of wider international consultations.
