ABU DHABI — UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan held a telephone conversation on Sunday with King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein, during which the two leaders discussed strengthening bilateral cooperation and addressing pressing regional developments.

According to an official statement, the call focused on the close fraternal relations between the United Arab Emirates and the Jordan, as well as joint efforts to expand cooperation in ways that serve the mutual interests of both nations and their peoples.

The leaders also reviewed a range of regional and international issues of shared concern, exchanging views on the latest developments across the Middle East. In this context, they emphasized the importance of advancing the implementation of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip and ensuring the uninterrupted delivery of sufficient humanitarian aid to alleviate the suffering of civilians.

Both Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and King Abdullah II stressed the need to work toward a just and comprehensive peace in the region, reaffirming their support for the two-state solution as the only viable path to achieving lasting peace and long-term regional stability.

The two leaders further underscored the importance of promoting peace and stability across the Middle East through dialogue, diplomacy, and political solutions, while rejecting escalation and conflict as means of resolving disputes.
