RIYADH — Saudi Arabia has led a renewed wave of regional condemnation over Israel’s repeated violations of the Gaza ceasefire, warning that continued breaches risk escalating violence and undermining international efforts to restore calm and stability in the region.

In a joint statement issued on Sunday and reported by the Saudi Press Agency, the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Pakistan, and Turkiye described the violations as a “dangerous escalation” that has resulted in the killing and injury of more than 1,000 Palestinians.

The ministers warned that continued ceasefire breaches could severely complicate efforts to de-escalate the conflict and restore regional stability, particularly at a moment when diplomatic momentum is building to advance the next phase of the peace process.

Their statement echoed similar concerns raised a day earlier by Qatar, Jordan, and Egypt, which also criticized what they described as persistent violations and cautioned that such actions could derail attempts to contain the crisis.

According to the joint communiqué, the latest developments come at a critical juncture as regional and international actors intensify efforts to move forward with the second phase of a peace initiative proposed by US President Donald Trump, alongside the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 2803.

The ministers stressed that repeated ceasefire violations pose a direct threat to the political process and could halt progress toward improving security conditions and addressing the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. They emphasized that accountability is essential to safeguarding diplomatic efforts and preventing further deterioration on the ground.

Regional officials reiterated their call for all parties to adhere strictly to agreed ceasefire terms and for the international community to play a more assertive role in ensuring compliance, warning that failure to do so could prolong instability and human suffering.
